I also have the same problem.  I just tried using Chrome, and it does the same as it does in IE.  That circle just keeps spinning.

Update:  T-mobile tech is sending me a signal booster for my home, he says that should fix the problem.  When I get it and install it next week and evaluate for improvement I'll give another update.
