How do you turn off some pre-installed software?

Hi,

Have had my Samsung Galacy S4 phone for a few months and generally it is a superb device.

Just like on my PC and Tablet, I have accumulated some apps that I'd like to turn off.  To that end, I have two questions for each of the apps listed below:

  • First, what does the app do and is it really necessary?
  • How do I turn it off?

I ask these because I have tried turning off two apps, in particular, by clicking on the turn off button and responding OK to the subsequent dialogue boxes, yet every morning they are re-installed.  The two of particular interest are S Health and Samsung Lin (all Sharer).  All I want to to do is turn these off and not have them reinstalled all the time.

Additionally, here is the list of other Apps that came with the phone and have been unable to figure out what they do:

  • Samsung Apps
  • Samsung Apps Widget
  • Samsung Content Agent
  • Samsung Hub
  • Samsung Push Service
  • SamsungHub Updater

I ask this because I have figured out how to do this for one App and it is working fine; it was turned off and have not gotten any subsequent attempts to reinstall.  The App, ChatOn, was turned off and I made it so Google Play asked for permission to update.  For the other two, I can not figure that out.  And for the items in the second list, am not sure what they do?

I think having the ability to turn supplied Apps off is super -- just need some help to make a reasoned decision

Thanks
