Blackberry trade in program on a prepaid account? (Again)

I saw the responses given to "MikeT" in this discussion "Blackberry trade in program on a prepaid account?", and have a similar question.  I currently have a Blackberry Bold which I had purchased awhile ago (from T-Mobile) back when I was on a postpaid account.  Since then I've switched it over to a prepaid account and been quite happy with the $30 plan I'm on.  However, now I'm looking to trade my Blackberry in on a Nexus 5.

The response given to "MikeT" was the Blackberry Trade in Program announced on Feb 19th at "Blog_Un-carrier Plus BlackBerry  - T-Mobile US, Inc." and "http://www.tmonews.com/2014/02/t-mobile-to-offer-200-to-trade-in-your-old-blackberry-for-a-new-one-from-this-friday/" was only good for postpaid accounts.  But where was that information found?  Nowhere in Mr. Sievert's announcement did it say the promotion wasn't valid for prepaid.  While there is an indication that "ii. Qual’g service & device purchase with voice line port-in from eligible carrier req’d", that requirement has to do with porting in a phone from another carrier and not trading in a T-Mobile Blackberry for a T-Mobile Nexus 5?

I went to my local store last week and "Josh" knew nothing about this new $200 trade in allowance for Blackberry's and insisted it sounded just like the usual "Device Recovery" program which provides up to $200 for qualifying phones, and was only good for postpaid.  He gave me the Customer Service number, which I tried several times and just when I found somebody who agreed with me that this particular Blackberry trade in promotion should be eligible for prepaid - I got cut off !!  When I dialed back in I got routed to somebody else who wanted me to exchange my $30 prepaid plan for a $70 postpaid one, just to take advantage of the trade in.

If I'm paying T-Mobile in cash for the full purchase price of the Nexus 5, then why would I need to spend an additional $40 a month, just to save $200 up front?

Can somebody please reference a link where it definitively shows that prepaid accounts are not eligible to take advantage of the new (and limited time) Blackberry trade in program?
