just had my phone replaced and now the touch screen quit working

I am unable to do anything that requires the touch screen,I had my phone replaced about a month ago. I use a pattern lock screen for my phone and I cannot unlock my phone. I have powered it off and removed the battery- but that has no effect on fixing the touch screen. Help PLEASE!
