Re: TMO 3G coverage in near Palo Alto, CA?

The thing is: There are two versions of the 5230 out there:

Straight 5230 (Black): uses the 850/1900/2100 bands.

T-Mobile branded "Nuron" 5230 (White): Uses the 850/1700/2100 bands.

That's why I'm confused, why is T-Mobile branded phone incapable of running 3G in Palo Alto.  If they fixed it, great, but I just find it was very odd.

I've since upgraded my Nuron to an N900, which uses the same bands as the Nuron, hence wondering if I go back out there, will my N900 as it does not have the 1900 band, will get stuck on 2G.
