Hi. I currently am a Verizon pre-paid customer with a really old not-smart phone (5 years old and barely functions) and am interested in switching to a Samsung Galaxy S5 using the Walmart $30 plan. I noticed while at Walmart that they have some holiday financing specials that seem roughly equivalent to the T-mobile website's $0 down, pay over 24 months option (which would make my dreams come true), unfortunately the Walmart deal only works in the physical store and the phone I want appears to be online only.
My question is this: Is there any way I could buy the $30 plan sim-kit from Walmart and at the same time buy the Samsung Galaxy S5 through the T-mobile website ($0 down, pay over 24 months - I assume pending credit approval)? I really don't want to buy any plan other than the $30 one. If I couldn't buy the phone through T-mobile with the $0 down deal without already having an existing account, then would it be possible to buy the cheapest phone I can find that uses a sim card to activate the $30 Walmart plan and then immediately go to the T-mobile website and "upgrade" to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and get the $0 down financing option that way?
If worst comes to worst I could manage to buy the Samsung Galaxy S5 outright, but it would be a bit of a financial strain right now and figuring out a way to pay over time would help immensely.
