What you mean nothing new. When you sign up for simple choice plan with fix monthly cost than the service cost is divided over month. It is not variable. If you ask t-mobile to port number out to cancel the service than that is different than you port yourself number out. I do not see difference between two process as end result is moving out of t-mobile to some other carrier like moving in. By the way when I moved from AT&T to t-mobile, AT&T indeed pro-rate my partial month bill and I can post if someone needs proof. T-mobile customer service posts reply on this forum pretending individual customer and talk like other carrier are as bad as t-mobile.
